Motorhomes for Sale in Sydney

Motorhomes offer a unique combination of super-flexible travel without compromising style, comfort or safety. Constructed of a unique combination of a camper and a vehicle, you don’t have to tow or set anything up. That means you can move onto your next inspirational destination when it suits you. We have a wide range of Sydney motorhomes for sale, from 2-berth models for solos and couples to big 6-berth models for larger families.

Sydney motorhomes - Ins and outs

Along with impressive vehicle platforms, our motorhomes are also durable, stable, and have features that assist with insulation. These include gel-coated interior and exterior walls, double glazed windows, and composite panels with an insulative foam core. Exterior bonuses include external showers, wind-out awnings, solar panels, water tanks, gas cylinders, and external storage lockers. Their interiors are just as impressive, with comfy beds, cooking facilities, air conditioning, a lounge area, and a separate shower and toilet (depending on the brand you choose).

In terms of chassis, our KEA and Talvor range boasts Mercedes Benz Sprinters, and our Winnebago range, Invecos, a leading manufacturer of commercial vans and vehicles. Our Windsor range features Renault Master 6-speed automated manuals and Fiat Ducatos with a 9-speed fully automatic gearbox (including those with a 2.3-litre turbo diesel ‘180 Multijet’ engine).

FAQs | Sydney Motorhomes

Most motorhomes can be driven with a full car licence, as long as they don’t have a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) over 4.5 tonnes. If it weighs over this, it’s probably an 8-berth motorhome or a bus or truck conversation, and you’ll need a Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) licence to drive it. To apply for an LR or MR licence, you’ll need a full Class C Australian driver's licence for at least a year. You'll then normally need to pass written and driving tests tailored to heavy vehicles. However, tests can vary between states, so check your state’s government website for more information.

Aside from standard road rules, some states have specific regulations regarding motorhome length, width, and height. Typically, dimensions are not allowed to exceed 12.5 metres in length, 2.5 metres in width, and 4.3 metres in height; however, always check local laws when planning your trip.

You'll need at least third-party property insurance for your motorhome, and comprehensive insurance is also recommended to protect against damage.

Factors such as the motorhome's driving speed, weight, tyre pressure, air resistance, and how well the engine has been maintained can all play a part. Your driving style can also affect fuel efficiency. Smooth, steady driving is more fuel-efficient than frequent braking and acceleration.

Check local regulations before setting up camp, but parking and camping in designated campsites, caravan parks, and free camping areas is generally OK.

Yes, it is; however, you must comply with local laws regarding where you can live and park in your motorhome.

Always drive with caution, especially on narrow or winding roads. Know your vehicle's dimensions, adjust your speed, and use your mirrors effectively.

If you’re not looking to travel for a while, you should drain all water tanks, disconnect batteries, and store or cover external accessories. You should also give it a proper clean and secure anything in the interiors.
